Our plant trays are intended as planters and therefore suitable for indoor use. Accordingly, they are waterproof and provided without a drainage hole. Whether in the hallway, living room or bedroom - with its noble design and simple appearance, the CLIMAQUA® plant bowl offers itself as a pretty home decor, they become the eye-catcher of your decoration. Especially the natural stone structure of the millions of years old natural material fascinates and inspires at the same time. According to modern archaeological findings, slate was formed in the Paleozoic era an incredible 250-400 million years ago!

If you want to use the CLIMAQUA® plant bowl outdoors, for example on the balcony, terrace or in the garden, where it is exposed to open rain, then simply drill a hole in the bottom of the vessel. To do this, use a conventional masonry drill without percussion function. Slate, it is obvious, is a weatherproof material and ideally suited to withstand the vagaries of the weather. Plant pots made of slate and stone are therefore winterproof and will keep their natural color even under strong sunlight probably for several more millions of years...

You can buy our square plant p ots in different sizes and the colors "Rusty" or "Anthracite". Which design is the right one for you? That is purely a matter of taste. The important thing is that the vessel fits well with the intended plant. Slate, whether anthracite or rusty, harmonizes ideally with green plants. A flowering plant with yellowish or red flowers may suit "Anthracite" better than the brown "Rusty". "Anthracite" looks great in a modern, purist and timelessly elegant interior. "Rusty", on the other hand, is ideal for a natural, cozy and rather rustic interior.

Wondering what plants are suitable for plant bowls? You should make sure that you do not use fast-growing plants with deep roots. The proportions must be right. The right choice of plant for your plant bowl depends, of course, primarily on the location, the site conditions and the time of year. Basically, you can easily put succulents or cacti, some herbs and lush green cat grass in a plant bowl. As the translation of the Japanese word bonsai already reveals, you can also plant a bonsai in a slate bowl without any problems. In fact, bonsai means 'tree in a bowl'. Outside, plant bowls are adorned with primroses or other small flowers such as tulips, crocuses or daffodils. When planting your plant bowl, make sure there is enough space for the plants to thrive.
